Things for Spring
I love the newness of Spring. New flowers, new grass, new fashion, not necessarily in that order. Picking up a few current things to refresh my wardrobe and beauty routine always puts me in a good mood. I'm definitely a junkie for the serotonin rush I get from shopping. So I've put together a little list of goodies (taking into consideration current trends) that you might want to consider adding to your life this season.
- A Smart Trench
Incorporate two trends in one with a fresh trench coat in a fab check pattern. You're going to start seeing checkered prints everywhere for Spring. Pants, skirts, blouses. Check is great way to incorporate pattern into your wardrobe.
- The Day Heel
Need a pick up from your flats? This season try the day heel. A block heel provides comfort all day long and your legs always look longer and leaner when you're wearing heels - even small ones.
The above look perfectly incorporates two great trends; the day heel and a checkered patterned jacket.
- The Athletic Shoe
Let's stick with shoes for just another moment. These days I find myself wearing an athletic shoe most often. It works for me because I don't work outside the home and don't have to 'dress up' on a daily basis, and I like to be fashionable, yet comfortable. Athletic shoes are very popular right now. Don't believe me, just ask your kids. I'm currently loving anything from Adidas and have added a pair of Ultra Boost's to my Spring wardrobe. Not only do they look great, they are super comfortable and the closest way to feel like you're walking on air.
- The All in One
Aren't we alway looking for ways to simplify our beauty routine? No disrespect to the Thirteen Step K Beauty trend of course! Beautycounter (the first love in my life) has recently introduced a one-step makeup remover wipe that also cleanses your skin. In keeping with Beautycounter's mission to keep our planet safe, these miracle wipes are also biodegradable. You can just pop them into your green bin after use. Facial wipes are also the absolute best for travelling.
- Think Pink
I'm not really a pink girl, but everywhere I look this season...pink is in. If I were to choose a shade, it would a soft, baby pink that makes you look young and fresh. Choose pink in shirts and blouses and maybe even a cute pair of slip on sneakers as a subtle way to incorporate it into your wardrobe. Do me a big favour...keep it off your lips unless it's in the form of a very sheer gloss.
