31 Day Blog Challenge - Day Twenty
Day Twenty - Where I Want To be in Ten Years.
Did you read Day Thirteen? If you did you would be privy to my favourite quote which is "no day but today." I try to live by this motto everyday. So the answer to today's topic is very easy; how do I know? I don't plan ten years out. I hardly plan ten days out, so it would be impossible for me to tell you where I want to be in ten years. It's completely going against the philosophy I'm trying to live by. So instead I'll tell you what I want to be in ten year. Fair? Let's go...
I want to be physically healthy. It's the first thing we should all wish for. I've seen too many young people succumb to disease and loose their lives in their early years. It's an absolute tragedy, so I'm doing all I can to keep myself in great shape both physically and mentally. I exercise 4 days a week. I eat and drink moderately. I take vitamins and minerals (Vitamin D has saved my life - truth) I stay social to keep my brain functioning well. In ten years I want to be physically healthier than I am today.
I want to be emotionally healthy. I want to have passed through menopause (sorry guys) with as little upheaval as possible. Regular exercise does wonderful things for my emotions. I've recently started spinning and it's like a fifty minute emotional purge. I can even cry for the whole class and nobody can tell because it's loud, dark and sweaty in the room. Try it...it's amazing. Ladies, as we roll through menopause a vigorous workout is so important because our estrogen levels are dropping and we're no longer burning fat as easily. So hopefully getting into a great cardio routine at fourty seven will benefit me when I'm fifty seven.
And lastly, just to keep it short and sweet and this sunny Saturday, I want to be able to look back and have no regrets - while still be making the most out of each individual day.
Have an amazing Saturday!
Until tomorrow....it's going to be a doozy.
