Be in the Present
It was a relatively easy decision for me this year NOT to do a 25 Day Gift Guide like I did last year. I found it extremely labour intensive (reminder - I'm not getting paid here) and my December was looking like it would be much busier than last year, which is absolutely is. I initially wanted to produce a 'green' gift guide, but also found that to be much more work that I anticipated - again, no dineros comin' my way for this lovely hobby of mine. So instead here you have a few of my favourite ideas for gift giving this holiday season. Enjoy!
FUJIFILM INSTAMAX MINI 9 CAMERA
There's nothing like the feeling of having a photo 'develop' right in front of your eyes. Take the perfect shot with this cute Instamax Camera and you'll actually have a photo to put on your fridge instead of just on various technology around the house. $79.95 at Indigo.
SHOT HIP FLASK BY ALESSI
Kids hockey game getting you down? Husband getting you down? First take five cleansing deep breaths and then take a lil nip out of this rose gold flask and everything will suddenly be alright. $88 at William Ashley.
CELINE MEDIUM BIG BAG
Because ever since LV started it's collab with Supreme...blah. . ;) $3800 US through Celine.
I like using mine for leaving the family little inspirational notes and reminders. They think I'm crazy...I think it's sweet. $29.99 at Elte Market.
PRO-JECT CLASSIC TURNTABLE
Remember the crackle of a needle hitting a vinyl record? It's a sound that brings on happy childhood memories. Wish I had kept my awesome collection of 45's. $1599.00 at Bay Bloor Radio - call for availability.
If you require some vinyl for your new turntable, check out one of the best selections in Toronto at Sonic Boom on Spadina. I would definitely start with some Chili Peppers...loud.
PUPPY BOW TIE
Can't forget your pooch this Christmas. I'm loving the bow ties from Rover Pet Boutique. These lobsters would be a popular choice if you happen to be taking a trip to Maine. If not, it's just cute. Lot's of different fabrics to choose from and they attach easily to your dogs collar. $15.00 at various pet retailers. Check website for stockists.
CHLOE JEWELLERY BOX BY WOLF
Wolf is a fourth generation family business started in 1834. They take pride is crafting the finest jewellery cases. This one looks like it belongs on a long train trip trough the mountains holding your precious pieces. $354.00 at William Ashley.
NEST REED DIFFUSER
Reed diffusers are my favourite way to fragrance my home. I have found the Nest brand to have amazing fragrances (the don't give me headaches) while looking chic - and they last forever! Apricot Tea is my fave - all year round. $44.00 through Nest or at Murale.
VINTNER'S DAUGHTER SERUM
This gift guide is beginning to look strangely like my Christmas list...so weird how that happened. Anyway, Vintner's Daughter is perhaps the best facial serum on the market today, if you are a lover of safe beauty products like I am. Made from 22 organic botanicals - the is facial energy and as close as you can get to youth in a bottle. $185 at Detox Market or through Vintner's Daughter.
