I remember the first time I had my eyebrows waxed, it was like an entire new world (on my face) opened up for me. Suddenly I had these giant brown eyes...because we tamed my brows. Now let's be serious here for just a moment, I don't actually have a lot of brow. Like my hair, my brows are fine and light. But even fine, light brows can benefit big time from a proper plucking, threading or waxing.
I've driven/walked past MYNC Beauty on Yonge St. in North Toronto many times. A lash and brow bar became very intriguing to me, so I made an appointment. The fabulous girl who regularly waxes my brows is on maternity leave...so I don't feel like I'm cheating on her. My appointment with the gorgeous Lana started with a little chat about my brows. "Which brow is your favourite" she asked. Hmmm...I'd never thought about it. I chose my left brow because it's fuller than my right. She agreed. Lana then decided that since I needed more arch, she would pluck and thread. I've been curious about threading for awhile now, so I told her to go for it. She started out by mapping my brows to determine the best shape for my face. Yes, even my fuzz has a right shape. So away she went...first plucking a nice arch and then threading away the rest of the strays. While I don't normally powder my brows for colour...I let Lana go all the way, since I was there anyway. I'm absolutely thrilled with the results and will definitely go back in the recommended four weeks for a clean up. If you leave your brows longer, than reshaping is necessary.
The Highbrow treatment that I received was $23.00 and very well worth it for my twenty five minute appointment. You can visit MYNC Beauty at three locations across Toronto. Check out their website for all the info and follow them on Instagram @myncbeauty and don't forget to hashtag #browgamestrong!
